Just Before Bed (5/10)

So I lay in bed with my laptop and with the TV on softly while everybody in the house is sleeping. The time now is just after midnight and I've just come home from practice, and as usual, smoked a dooby on my way home in the car.

I've long last had a chance to sit with this laptop in the evening because my wife has been hogging the laptop by watching the series 24. So I've decided to sit with my laptop for a change and browse the web in order to please my forever inquiring mind. I really like to browse the web when high, because I have a saying, 'that if i have at my disposal a computer with a decent mobile internet connection, I have in my possession the biggest library in the world'.

I have this tendency to want to know everything, and I'm not immensely satisfied when I dont get the answer immediately. If at this moment I want to research a bit about 'whether there is any possibility that evolution and Christianity can exist together and have a common link' I can simply just open another tab in my browser and do some googling. I even have access to an extremely large set of scientific databases if the need arises, and a bookmark to a dictionary website etc will always be on my computer. I can be in any program, and by just pressing the control button twice, the google desktop search pops up so that I can quickly access information. So I think you should get my drift by now. Call me an information hungry junkie if you want to. For this reason I feel that I can hold a conversation with almost anyone.

So why am I saying this? Because before I started typing out this blog, I was sitting and wondering about what I can google, and couldnt think of anything, so I thought that this might be an interesting topic on my blog, and I find that when Im high, I like to write a bit (does that sound corny).

So, I've been smoking marijuana for a long time now, and am going to attempt to explain what part of the reason is for why I think people in general smoke this stuff, and what part of the reason is for me smoking it. I would appreciate some feedback on what Im about to say.

When Im high, I loose my ability to concentrate on performing new tasks, but I am able to complete common repetitive tasks faster than when Im not high with similar quality of workmanship. On the other hand, I also get extremely creative when Im high. In scientific literature, I found that it was scientifically proven that after smoking a joint, you loose some ability to concentrate on new tasks, and complete repetitive task quite fine. So that kinda explains some stuff. But I did not as yet come across scientific evidence that suggests that people become creative after smoking cannabis. Neither has anybody denied this phenomenon.

So what I am postulating, is that people become more creative and more analytical when they are high. This is the reason why I smoke cannabis frequently, and I think other people smoke cannabis for this reason also. Disconnected memory and thoughts lead the mind to think in a different direction (a direction which you may not be familiar with), hence creativity. And when my creative beast has been released, I want to know stuff.

On a different note, I am planning to write a book about cannabis which will include the good and the bad of everything i can find (and there is a lot of info).

Now you see why I want to write this book. Somebody has already written a book like this, but I think that it needs to be more than 267 pages.
